The adidas INFINITE TRAILS 2021 in Gastein

Trail running is running in the great outdoors, on unpaved trails. For many outdoor athletes, trail running means pure freedom. No wonder that trail running enjoys great popularity.

At the end of September, the Gasteinertal celebrates the sport with a trail run camp, exciting lectures and, as the highlight, the adidas INFINITE TRAILS 2021. 

At the end of Spetember 2021 Trail runners will come together at the adidas INFINITE TRAILS event in Gastein. Beginners and professionals alike fight for victory in this unique trail running team challenge. The relay-team will cope with a total of 90 kilometers and over 9,000 meters in altitude.

These are the rules of the adidas INFINITE TRAIL:

• On Saturday, September 25th, three trail runners will start as a team in three different categories (women, men, mixed).
• Each runner completes one of three laps in front of the impressive Gastein Alpine backdrop.
• The laps differ both in distance and in route profile.
• You can choose from the following Adidas Infinite Trail Gastein routes: 20km / 2000hm - 30km / 3000hm - 40km / 4000hm.
• The runners cover the last kilometer together to cross the finish line as a team.
• New in 2021: For all single starters there is a new challenge with an ultra distance of 65 km / 5,000 m over three Gastein peaks, the Gamskarkogel, the Graukogel and the Stubnerkogel.
