Graukogelbahn (elev. 1,078m - 1,956m)

The Graukogel is known for its particularly beautiful and ancient stone pines, some trees are 250-300 years old. Therefore, there is a 45 minutes walk directly at the station of the Graukogelbahn. Stay at idyllic places, use the individual seating from arolla pinewood for a small break or test our large outdoor arolla pine bed! By the way, arolla pinewood also has the effect that the heart rate drops. This aides the relaxation, since the arolla pine is touching all senses.

"We are aiming a completely different positioning with the"Zirbenzauber" for the Graukogel," said Franz Schafflinger, CEO of the Gasteiner Bergbahnen. "Our focus is the Nature." The two-hundred-year-old arolla pines stand in the immediate vicinity of the mountain station, which is also located in an idyllic landscape with a fantastic view over the Gastein valley. "We want to offer our guests a new arolla pine experience in touching, smelling, tasting and drinking," says Schafflinger. The Zirbenweg - a circular route with the starting point and the destination at the Graukogel station - was developed.

With its long, difficult runs, the skiing area of Graukogel, between 1,079 m and 2,007 m, is a real challenge for top skiers. The majority of the slopes are located in the forest area, which is particularly wind-protected and allows a good orientation even in poor visibility. The only downside: No direct lift connection to the other skiing areas in Gastein.

No operation when it rains in the morning.
