ART ON SNOW Gastein 2026

Information about the Event:

Gastein is once again transformed into a unique cultural hotspot. At the largest art festival in the Alps, visitors can admire large and small works made of snow and ice.

During the event week, impressive works of art made of snow and ice will be created in Dorfgastein, Bad Hofgastein, and Bad Gastein – all inspired by this year’s theme, “Comics & Co.”

On the Schlossalm, the Stubnerkogel, in Sportgastein, and on the Fulseck, visitors can marvel at imaginative figures and scenes from the colorful world of comics – skillfully crafted and full of attention to detail.

These extraordinary snow sculptures invite guests to explore, take photos, and be amazed. The festival opens with a festive ceremony on the Schlossalm. In the new restaurant, guests, artists, and media representatives can look forward to a varied program featuring live music (DJ), an artist get-together, and an atmosphere brimming with creative energy – the perfect start to a festival full of color, imagination, and wintry art.
