When the snow falls from the sky in thick flakes and everything is covered with a cotton-white blanket, the Dorfgastein municipal park exudes a magical charm. The elementary school students are performing the shepherd's play, and next to them a farmer is offering local delicacies. Advent market Dorfgastein
On Saturday, 10.12.2022, from 12:00 the Advent market Dorfgastein takes place.
In the Advent season in the Gastein Valley an Advent market must not be missing. In the Dorfgastein community park you can buy regional products and handicrafts at the traditional Advent market. Wise men and Anklöckler as well as the shepherd play of the elementary school students underline the traditional anchoring of the pre-Christmas season in Gastein. Come by and let yourself be enchanted!
The Oven:Festival in Dorfgastein
On 27.12.2022, the stoves are heated from 17.00 clock.
The people of Dorfgastein have found a particularly nice way to bring the Advent and Christmas spirit closer to their guests. Serenades, stories, mulled wine & punch, a nativity scene, many small stoves, very much atmosphere and contemplation for the days shortly after Christmas.

Torchlight walk for the winter solstice on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, from 7:45 pm.
Watch the burning flames at the winter solstice from 19:45. Enjoy the perfect view during a torchlight hike from the town center to the Torbauer to Maierhofen where locals painstakingly light each torch individually.
