The Zittraueralm (elev. 1.872 m) is reachable via a simple hiking path from the Stubnerkogel mid station in Bad Gastein.


The rustic Zittraueralm is located at 1872m on the Stubnerkogel in Bad Gastein. The hearty Almjause with delicious cheese, bacon, Carinthian sausages and butter moasei you just have to enjoy and there are also a few other delicacies from own production and self-distilled. Try the homemade apple liqueur, it is simply something special. For those with a sweet tooth, Alm muffins and cakes/pastries are offered while stocks last.

HOW TO GET TO THE ZITTRAUERALM ?

From the middle station of the Stubnerkogel cable car, the Zittraueralm can be reached via a slightly ascending path in about 20 minutes, alternatively you can also drive to the top station of the Stubnerkogel and marvel at the mountain attractions suspension bridge, Glocknerblick and Felsenweg and then hike down to the Zittraueralm.

OPENING HOURS: Tuesday to Sunday: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday day off (but drinks in the fountain). Johanna and Matthias milk the dairy cows daily, look after the horses and young cattle and are responsible for the physical well-being of the guests at the Zittraueralm. Sausages, cheese, bacon and other products from Alm & Hof also to take away.
