Bad Hofgastein

The Thaler- Mahder Hütte, built in 1838, is located at the foot of the Gadaunerer Hochalm in the middle of the magnificent mountain meadows, the Lafenmahder. The hut is reachable in ca. 90 min. from Gasthof Lackenbauer via Nösslach or from the Schlossalm summit station via the Kreilingersteig path (ca. 2 hrs.).

SPECIAL OF OUR HUT:
The Thaler- Mahder Hütte, built in 1838, is located at the foot of the Gadaunerer Hochalm in the middle of the magnificent mountain meadows, the Lafenmahder. Enjoy the splendid mountain panorama with delicious alpine snacks including homemade products such as butter, cheese, bread, and much more. Another specialty is farmhouse donuts, which we will freshly prepare for you by advance order. The old copper kettle is also worth seeing, which is still used daily for cheese production. A small playground with a slide and swings is available for the young hiking guests. The Thaler- Mahder Hütte is open from mid June to mid September.
