Welcome to our newly built alpine hut, the Schockhochalm! Immerse yourself in the magnificent nature and enjoy an unforgettable time at 1,665 meters above sea level in Bad Hofgastein.

Surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes, the Schockhochalm is the perfect place to escape the stress of everyday life. Reach us from the Fulseck via the Kreuzkogel and on to the Perastlscharte, until you finally reach our destination, the alpine hut. There, delicious products from organic farming await you to sweeten your hike.

Treat yourself to a traditional alpine snack with bacon or cheese snack, accompanied by hearty bacon or cheese bread. And to spoil your palate even more, we serve you a refreshing schnapps and tempting farmer's doughnuts to go with it. Enjoy all this in combination with Almkaffee, milk or buttermilk.

Our Schockhochalm is managed from the end of June to mid-September, so during this time you have the opportunity to stay overnight with us. Experience the fascinating silence of the mountains and let yourself be enchanted by the unique atmosphere.

You wonder how you can reach us? The Schockhochalm is located at 1,665 meters above sea level and can be reached on foot in about 2 hours from the Fulseck. Alternatively, you can also reach the alpine hut from Harbach via a goods road in about 2 1/2 hours. After you have strengthened yourself with us, you can either start the way back to the Großarlerlift or continue hiking to the Fulseck. On the way down you have two options: the goods path or a picturesque path to Harbach.
