Sportgastein - for those who love skiing!
Adrenaline junkies, who are looking for challenges and who love off-piste deep snowmaking, are in the right place at Sportgastein! With perfect snow conditions - powder snow, deep snow and snow - you can leave the slopes and start the skiing adventure in the freeride area. In addition, there is a fantastic wintery mountain panorama to admire. The three ski routes Golden Powder, Golden Rush and Golden Ride with which one can discover the most sportive ski area of Gastein off the slopes, including deep snow! After about 1000 meters of altitude and powder fun you reach the valley floor of Sportgastein. All skiers should consider both warriors and barriers as well as other tips for safety off the slopes. In Sportgastein there is also a Piepsstation and a Freeride Infobase.

Summer Action Days of the Goldbergbahn in Sportgastein
The Goldbergbahn is open in summer on two action days – on the weekend of the "Nassfeld Alm Festival". On these days, the Goldbergbahn is in operation.
Season tickets and Almorama Cards (multi-day tickets) are also valid for the Goldbergbahn on the action days during the Alm Festival in Sportgastein.
Operations during the Nassfeld Alm Festival 2026: Saturday, August 8 and Sunday, August 9
TIP: From the summit station of the Goldbergbahn, it takes just a few minutes to walk to the summit cross of the Kreuzkogel at 2,686 meters. The ride on the action days is rewarded with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Be there and experience the mountain panorama!
