In the Hotel Restaurant Sonngastein, you can enjoy award-winning cuisine in a warm, stylish atmosphere. Head Chef Georg Berger and his team combine regional traditions with creative ideas and carefully selected, seasonal ingredients. This results in dishes with a distinctive signature – freshly prepared, tastefully presented, and far beyond the classic family hotel cuisine.
All day long, we pamper you with selected à la carte dishes, and in the evening, with the culinary highlights of our award-winning Sonngastein Kulinarium. Look forward to a week full of delightful variety: On Saturday, we invite you to an Austrian specialty buffet, and on Tuesday, Italian delicacies take center stage. On Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays, we serve a finely tuned 5-course menu, while on Thursday, a diverse strudel buffet awaits you. The festive highlight of the week is our 7-course gala dinner by candlelight on Friday. Our reception will gladly inform you of the current menu prices upon your inquiry.
The foundation of our cuisine is built on high-quality local products, short delivery routes, and close cooperation with regional producers. Seasonal specialties as well as an extraordinarily diverse salad buffet with up to 30 variations, fine dressings, selected oils, vinegars, and toppings complete the culinary offering.
The carefully curated wine selection combines selected top Austrian wines with international discoveries. After the meal, the piano bar, the cozy lounge, the fireplace room with an open fireplace, or the terrace with a view of the Gastein mountain world invite you to linger. Hand-mixed cocktails and mocktails, selected whiskies, and other fine beverage specialties provide a delightful conclusion to the evening.
