Gigerach Hut

Location: The hut sits alone on the hillside above Bad Hofgastein at 1,075 m above sea level.

Opening times: available for rent all year round

Access: Via a paved mountain road. In winter, good winter tires and snow chains are necessary.

This charming mountain hut is located entirely alone on the edge of the forest of the Stubnerkogel with a magnificent view over the Gastein Valley. Away from the stress of everyday life and hustle and bustle, here groups of friends and holiday groups experience carefree days in the midst of a unique panorama.

The cosy hut looks very rustic from the outside and blends harmoniously with the old, dark wood in this unique mountain area. The premises have been partially renovated and equipped with new, high-quality elements and furnishings in the farmer’s style. The old hut walls and rustic wooden floorboards have been preserved, as has the original wood-burning stove in the comfortable kitchen. The sauna with exit into the open air is the highlight of this holiday house with a hut character.

Around the mountain hut you will only find pure nature, colourful blooming Alpine meadows or the snowy winter landscape. There are almost unlimited opportunities for active holidaymakers and athletes to really experience the mountains. Hikers, walkers, mountain bikers or ski tourers can start directly from the hut. Whether with the family or with friends, this holiday hut is perfect for spending time together.

The Anger Valley descent leads to the hut in good snow conditions. You can reach the ski area of "Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel", which connects Bad Hofgastein with Bad GasteinSkiurlaub in Gastein, in about 10 minutes by car or by taxi.
