Bad Gastein
Impressive excursion into the history of mining in the province of Salzburg
In the midst of the historic settlement with washhouse, packhorse stable, administration building, master craftsman house, Colm (storehouse), Coloredo house, and parish yard, the past comes alive again. The centerpiece is the open-air museum with Salt Barn, an exhibition of mining historical exhibits about gold mining from 1342 to 1945, as well as the mining settlement from 1741 with the "Miners' Church Maria vom Guten Rat".
Museum Tours:
Tuesday and Thursday from 3 PM:
Tour through the Altböckstein Mining Museum including the gold ore processing plant

Children 10-14 years: € 5.00
