Calling all linedance fans: With the Tanz:Fest Gastein Linedance Edition, Bad Hofgastein becomes the place for all who love rhythm, movement, and dancing together. The program features a variety of workshops ranging from popular classic choreographies, to modern linedance, to lively country variations and the latest trends in the linedance scene.
Whether you are a beginner, improver, or intermediate dancer, want to learn new dances or refine your dance techniques – you will find plenty of opportunities to share the enthusiasm for linedance with like-minded participants. Renowned instructors from home and abroad accompany the participants with experience, passion, and plenty of fun dancing. This creates unforgettable dance experiences set against the impressive backdrop of the Gastein mountains.
All workshops and practice sessions of the Tanz:Fest Gastein Winter Edition take place in the Bad Hofgastein Congress Center.
The state-of-the-art facilities offer the perfect space for your dance lessons.
All line dancers who love to dance, from Beginner Level 1 (no prior experience or very basic experience—approx. 2–3 months) to Intermediate (Level 4–5—several years of dance experience) There are workshops for all levels—Beginner (Level 1), High Beginner (Level 2), Improver (Level 3), Intermediate/Advanced (Levels 4–5)
The workshops will take place at two different locations in the center of Bad Hofgastein:
To get from one location to the next, you’ll need to go outside.
Please bring regular street shoes with you when changing locations! You can pick up a map at the Tanz:Fest Gastein Info Desk.
Workshops: Whether you preferathletic or casual attire, come to dance class however you like.
Events: No dress code
At every evening event, there will be an opportunity to have at least a light meal. If you have booked dinner at your hotel but plan to eat out, don't forget to let the front desk know so they can cancel your dinner reservation.
The line dance parties are held at the convention center or the Kursaal.
No! You may dance line dancing on your own, but of course you do it as part of a group!

At the end of each workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to film the choreography you’ve learned.
Please note that recordings of any kind (audio, video) are permitted only during this time, as specified by the dance instructor.
Publication of the recordings is NOT permitted!
L 1 = Beginner: No prior knowledge or only basic knowledge required (approx. 2–3 months, beginner course)
L2 = High Beginner: Basic knowledge required (approx. 4–6 months, beginner’s course and follow-up course)
L3 = Improver: Good knowledge required (approx. 1 year)
L 4–5 = Intermediate/Advanced: (several years of dance experience required)
We ask that you choose workshops based on your own skill level. This way, you’ll get the most out of the workshops.
You can attend all workshops taking place on the day your ticket is valid .
You do not need to register for a workshop in advance.

You can pick up your festival wristband, the brochure, and tickets to the parties at the Tanz:Fest Gastein Info Desk in the Congress Center.

You cannot buy drinks at the workshop locations.
However, there’s a supermarket just around the corner. And you’re also welcome to fill your own water bottle with tap water.
