It is crucial to avoid harmful practices such as using pesticides or frequent lawn mowing. Structurally rich gardens with native plants provide habitat for many animals. The speaker highlights the variety of species in gardens and gives tips,
on how to promote biodiversity right at your doorstep. The event is held in cooperation with the Fruit and Horticultural Association of Dorfgastein. The lecture is offered as part of "Nature in Salzburg" and is therefore funded by the Province of Salzburg and the European Union.
