The tour begins at the former Hotel "Grüner Baum." After a few meters, the access road is left behind – it leads into a wide, easily walkable alpine path. The ranger shares information along the way about the special features of the valley and the Hohe Tauern National Park. You will also learn what made the Gastein Valley wealthy in the past, why it was always at the center, and how tourism and the national park can complement each other here.
Upon reaching the Alpenhaus Prossau, a short detour towards the Tischlerkarfälle can now be made.
The return is on the same path.
Walking time: approx. 4 hours, 350 meters ascent, 350 meters descent

Meeting point: Starts from the bus stop Grüner Baum (Bus Line #555).
Equipment: Sports or light trekking shoes, rain and sun protection, suitable clothing and change of clothes, backpack with drinks and snacks
Bringing dogs is not allowed during excursions out of consideration for the other participants
and for local wildlife.
