The singing, known far beyond the borders of the Gastein Valley, will take place at the usual time on the Marienfeiertag at 7.00 p.m. in the parish church "Mariä Himmelfahrt" in Bad Hofgastein. The singers, along with their choir director Martin Aigner, provide guests and locals alike with a festive atmosphere through carefully selected songs for this most beautiful celebration of the year.
Accompanying the traditional singing will be melodious instrumental groups.
“SaitenKlang” under the direction of Margit Fraiss and the “Torrener Weisenbläser” (director: Johann Jastrinsky) will add a particularly fine instrumental touch to the concert. In between, heartwarming and expressive children from Bad Hofgastein will perform a shepherd play that they have practiced diligently. The speaker, Dietmar Magler, will round off the harmonious program with touching texts of his own. The overall musical direction is in the hands of the choir director of GastEinKlang, Martin Aigner.
