Experience under the open sky – at 1,590 m, in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park in Salzburg Land.

Look forward to a special 5-course menu including drinks, prepared from regional products and served under the sparkling starry sky. While you enjoy the individual courses, the full moon slowly rises over the imposing mountain peaks and bathes the snowy valley in a very special light.
An extraordinary evening where enjoyment, nature, and the unique atmosphere of the winter mountain worldmerge together.


Schedule

Meeting point: 7.15 pm for an aperitif at Valeriehaus, Sportgastein
Please note that there is no service at Valeriehaus before 7.15 pm.

Start of dinner: 8 pm

End of dinner: around 10 pm - 10.15 pm

Return trip with the shuttle: around 10.15 pm - 10.30 pm

Relaxed and sustainable to the full moon dinner

Even the shared journey with the shuttle is part of the experience.

The ride takes you comfortably through the winter mountain world of the Gastein Valley up to Sportgastein. You don't have to worry about winter road conditions while contributing to the protection of the sensitive nature in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

All guests arrive together in Sportgastein. When the shuttle doors open and reveal the view of the snowy mountain landscape, the special evening begins even before the actual dinner.

After the event, you can sit back and relax, letting the impressions of the evening sink in – without having to drive yourself.

Backup Date

In case of bad weather, the full moon dinner takes place on the respective following day.
This backup date will be automatically booked when you book the original date.

The dinner takes place outdoors at 1,590 m. Therefore, please wear warm clothing and good footwear. We recommend warm ski clothing, a hat, gloves, and winter-proof shoes.

Alternative Date

In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, the Full Moon Dinner will take place on the following day.
The alternative date is automatically included with your booking of the original date.

In case of a postponement, participants will be informed by the KTVB at least 1 day before the dinner.


What to wear

The dinner takes place outdoors at 1,590 m. Please make sure to wear warm clothing and good footwear. We recommend warm ski clothing, a hat, gloves, and winter-proof shoes.


Booking Conditions

By booking the full moon dinner on one of the dates set by the organizer, the specified number of places for the participant will be reserved. The price per person is € 160,-.

The booking is only definitively reserved once the total amount has been paid to the KTVB Bad Gastein.

If the KTVB Bad Gastein does not receive payment or payment confirmation up to 5 days before the full moon dinner, the reserved places will expire.

 

Cancellation

If the full moon dinner cannot take place due to force majeure (bad weather, etc.) on the original and alternative date, participants will be informed by the KTVB Bad Gastein at least 1 day before the dinner.

In this case, participants will have the option to reschedule their booking to another date (if there are sufficient places available) or their money will be refunded.

 

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellations by the participant between 14 days before the full moon dinner and the day of the dinner, the participant is obliged to pay the following cancellation fees:

  • up to 2 weeks before the full moon dinner: free cancellation
  • 13 days to 5 days before the full moon dinner: 50% of the total amount
  • from 5 days before the full moon dinner: 100% of the total amount
  • If a participant books the full moon dinner between 13 days and 2 days before the date, the booking can be canceled free of charge within 24 hours.


The cancellation can only be made in writing to badgastein@gastein.com.
For accounting reasons, the refund may take up to 30 days.
