Description

Hike to Gastein's mountain lakes!

The flag of the Bockhartsee Hütte can be clearly seen from the valley bottom in Sportgastein, enticing curious hikers to follow the beautiful trail leading up. Once there, the dark-blue Lower Bockhartsee (elev. 1,872 m) spreads out. The path takes you past the lake and brings you, after a 200 m ascent, to the Upper Bockhartsee, which is smaller than the lower lake. The wealth of rare plants makes this tour a very special experience.
