As part of the LEADER project “Energy from Citizen Hands”, a lecture on the topic “The Future of Our Mountain Forests: Potential and Risks” will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
The speaker is Univ.-Prof. DI Dr. Georg Gratzer from the Institute of Forest Ecology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. The focus is on current developments in mountain forests in the Alpine region as well as their opportunities and challenges concerning climate change, use, and protection.
The event is organized by the project partners in cooperation with Holzwärme Gastein and Biowärme Dorfgastein, the Gastein farming community, Lagerhaus Gastein, and the LEADER region Pongau-Tennengau.
