This guided Bike & Hike Tour combines the best of both worlds: powerful mountain biking and breathtaking summit experiences.
With the bike, it’s an athletic and enjoyable ride along the forest road from Dorfgastein up to the Präau Hochalm – the highest alpine pasture in Dorfgastein at 1,808 m above sea level. Over 1,000 meters of elevation are efficiently conquered, the pulse quickens, and anticipation rises. At the approximately 150-year-old traditionally managed alpine hut, the
bike is parked and hiking shoes are laced up. The trail continues for about an hour to the summit of the Tagkopf – at the top awaits an impressive panoramic view over the Gastein Valley and the surrounding mountain landscape.
Back at the rustic Präau Alm, enjoy homemade regional delicacies and authentic alpine idyll before making your way comfortably back down into the valley with plenty of riding fun and flow. A sporty natural experience for everyone who wants to combine movement, panorama, and culinary delights.
