Information about the Event:

Join us for the opening of "IF THE RIVER IS DREAMING ...", an exhibition by Swiss artist Nives Widauer.

For more than three decades, Widauer has developed a multidisciplinary practice spanning video, installation, sculpture, painting, drawing, and collage.

Her work recontextualizes familiar elements to create poetic narratives that weave together personal memories, cultural references, and broader existential questions.


Two works are inspired by the Gasteiner Ache, the river that runs through Bad Gastein:

  • Ach(e), a painting
  • If the River Is Dreaming, Is It Flowing into the Past or Remembering the Future?, a mirrored installation that also lends its title to the exhibition at the Pavilion.
