The summer fun for children begins at the valley station of the Fulseck summit lift. On the pump track, you can ride your bike over waves and through steep bends.

Gasti's Test of Courage
Right next to the midway station, along Gasti’s ball course, a special challenge awaits. From the jumping platform, you can jump from a height of 1.5 or 3 meters into the soft landing pad. Afterward, the cozy seating area invites you to relax and enjoy a snack.

Gasti's Ball Course
The 700-meter-long ball course starts at the middle station of the Fulseck summit cable car, winds through the forest, and offers fun and excitement at seven stations featuring Gasti. The wooden ball can be purchased for 2 euros at the valley station or from the vending machine at the midway station. An extra thrill awaits at the final station, where you have the chance to double your points.

Forest Playground
The forest playground at Gasti’s Fulseck Adventure Mountain is located in the woods near Spiegelsee and is a popular destination for families. Children can play on the giant slide, swings, and rope course, climb, and splash around, while parents enjoy the fresh mountain air and the view. A fun-filled and relaxing outing for young and old alike.
Sky Swings
On the Sky Swings at Fulseck, you can swing while enjoying an unobstructed view of the Gastein Valley. It’s a chance to feel a sense of freedom and take in the surrounding peaks at your own pace. Whether you’re alone or with your family, the Sky Swings are a special experience!
Dachsteinblick Observation Deck
From the Dachsteinblick observation deck at Fulseck, you can admire the country’s highest mountains from the summit area—from the Großglockner in the southwest to the Hochkönig in the north and the Hoher Dachstein in the northeast. The best part: The railing is made of shatterproof glass, so even young mountain enthusiasts can enjoy the view.

Are the hiking trails at Fulseck kid-friendly?
Fulseck offers several family-friendly hiking trails. The trail to Spiegelsee—which features a barefoot path and a forest playground—and the Mushroom Nature Trail are particularly well-suited for families. Gasti’s Ball Course is also a short, fun loop for families.
Are there any family discounts on cable car tickets?
Children receive discounted fares, and toddlers ride for free. For families with more than two children, the third and each additional child rides for free. In addition, there’s an early-bird discount when purchasing tickets online. On Fridays in July and August, a discounted ride up the mountain to the Children’s Festival is available with advance registration through the Dorfgastein Tourism Association.
What does the town of Dorfgastein have to offer families?
In Dorfgastein, adventure playgrounds and various themed trails—such as the Legend Trail, Bear Trail, Nature Trail, and Bee Education Trail—invite visitors to explore through play. In addition, Klammstein Castle and the solar-heated pool with slides offer a variety of family-friendly experiences.
Can you go hiking with a stroller on the Fulseck?
Yes, there are several paths at Fulseck that are suitable for strollers. The farm roads and forest roads, which are easy to walk on and can be used for stroller walks, are particularly suitable. The hike to Spiegelsee and the Gruber Forest Trail are also especially good options.
