The Mountain Farmer’s Diploma is a scavenger hunt along a fixed hiking route that’s just under 2 kilometers long. Participants have to complete fun, interesting, and tricky challenges.
Anyone familiar with log-nailing or who has ever taken part in a schnapps tasting can imagine just how much fun it is to earn the Mountain Farmer’s Diploma.
At the end, successful participants will be awarded the first Mountain Farmer’s Diploma in the Alpine region.
On this page, we’ll give you a brief overview of the challenges that await participants along the trail.

Life as a mountain farmer means rolling up your sleeves! Milking, nailing, and sawing require strength and skill, while the CowKnowHow and Wood Quiz put your knowledge of cows, the forest, and mountain life to the test.
A steady hand and a keen eye will help you succeed in the next challenges. Whether it’s horseshoe toss, bell ringing, bird spotting, or the high hunt —here, accuracy, keen observation, and a little bit of wits are what count.
Finally, your senses and your courage will be put to the test. The “Schnapsnaserl” challenges your sense of taste, before the test of courage—the last and perhaps most exciting challenge—awaits you.
Ready for a round full of challenges, fun, and surprises? Then set out and tackle all 11 stations—at the end, your very own mountain farmer’s diploma awaits you.
