The family-run 3-star Gasthof Walcher is a wonderful base for enjoyable holidays in Dorfgastein: 14 rooms with shower - partly bathtub - and WC, 2 suites and a junior suite equipped with minibar are available for our guests. The rooms are colourfully and comfortably appointed, and each room is characterised by individual accessories. Gasthof Walcher is also very child-friendly: In addition to a children's playground and a children's menu, there is even a babysitter available on request. Whether you are planning a family holiday with the little ones or a romantic getaway for two, Gasthof Walcher has the ideal accommodation tailored to your individual needs! The chef, state champion of the Kasnocken cooking competition, will spoil you with regional Salzburgerland delicacies, prepared with fresh herbs from his own herb garden. At dinner, guests can delight in a 3-course menu and a salad buffet, and there is always a vegetarian option available. If you are looking for a special culinary experience, Gasthof Walcher will be happy to organize a horse carriage ride followed by a stopover where delicious ribs will be served.

The Fulseck cable car is the starting point for numerous scenic hikes: Via the Arltörl and the Jägersteig, a particularly energizing loop trail leads back to the midway station of the cable car which transports you comfortably back to the valley.

From Dorfgastein you have to drive about 2 Km direction Bad-Hofgastein. Departure Luggau- on the right side- throw the place Luggau till you get to a little church then right the little hill down about 50 m. You directly stand in front of our house the "Gasthof Walcher"!!
