Gasthof Gamskar also takes advantage of the spirit of optimism in Bad Gastein for renovations and expansions.

History of the construction project

The previously named Cafe Gamskar on the Gasteiner Höhenweg (Remsach) was built in 1892. After it fell victim to a fire in 1945, the cafe was rebuilt on the same site between 1946 and 1953 by master builder Franzmair.

What is planned?

Matthias Fuchs and Zita Gal are taking advantage of the spirit of optimism in Bad Gastein to expand the popular excursion destination on the Höhenweg. From December 2021 there is the possibility to book one of 6 new apartments above the restaurant with a magnificent view of the valley.

Current construction progress

The remodeling work is almost complete, as the pictures show. Over the coming months, all the interior work on the apartments will be carried out so that they can be opened for the coming winter season.
