The power plant, built in 1911 by Dr. Ing. Karl Imhof, provided the electrification of the gold mining in Nassfeld (Sportgastein) and was operated with water from the Bockhartsee.
It featured a surprisingly modern technology for that time. During a guided tour you can learn more about it.
