For the presentation of his second studio album entitled ‘Enlightened’, recorded in New York with Bill Stewart, Peter Bernstein, Boris Kozlov and Chien Chien Lu, Bernhard Wiesinger put together a fantastic band that could not be more international. One thing is clear: their love and connection to the jazz capital New York, where some of the five musicians spent several years playing with the greats of the international jazz scene - getting the musical finishing touches, so to speak. Jerry Bergonzi was also impressed by the quality of the Austrian saxophonist, composer and bandleader. He wrote: "Bernhard Wiesinger ́s new CD Enlightenedis truly inspirational. What a great tenor saxophone sound. "The instrumentation with vibraphone and guitar already points to an extraordinary sound and is reinforced by Wiesinger's compositions and arrangements. ‘...elegantly swinging, modern mainstream full of energy and joy of playing’ was the verdict of NRW Jazz Magazin.
