Half-time on the Gastein Trail. And time to take a relaxing stage. The three-hour descent from the Schlossalm mountain station over mostly wide alpine paths offers just that: plenty of time to relax and let your gaze wander into the distance (or down into the Gastein Valley).
If more challenge is desired, the difficult but very beautiful variant via the Hermann-Kreilinger-Steig and the Gadaunerer Hochalm can be chosen as an alternative. However, it leads partly over difficult (black) mountain paths and requires surefootedness and a head for heights.
