The starting point for this tour is the car park next to the Schlossalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein. Looking in the direction of the mountain, on the left fringe of the piste you will climb all the way up the H2a Aeroplan valley run. At the Aeroplanstadl ski hut, you will cross the route of piste H3 and from there, looking up the mountain again, follow the right side of the piste as far as the Haitzingalm snow-making reservoir. At this flat point, with clear visibility, you will cross piste H4. After a few hundred meters, the route continues along a ski path, at the end of which you reach the area of the Haitzingalm. Now, you will climb up to the Kleine Scharte mountain station using the left fringe (as you look upwards) of the piste. Various huts serving refreshments invite you to enjoy a nice time in the ski area. Use of the car park, the signposted ski-touring route for the ascent and the piste for the ride back down are included in the Piste Touring Single Ticket, the Piste Touring Season Ticket along with all multiday and season passes.
