The most alpine stage of the Gastein Trail: magnificent mountain panorama of the three-thousand-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park, a 2,246 m high peak, archaic alpine terrain and the imposing valley head of the Gastein Valley: one highlight chases the other here. In the second lonely Stage over the Miesbichlscharte, there are also good chances of spotting ibex or chamois. And at the stage finish in Sportgastein, you can immerse yourself in old mining and gold rush times.
