Finding Peace in the Winter Forest – Health for Body and Soul
It's not just a feeling – it's scientifically proven: the forest is good for us.
Spending time in the winter forest supports our overall well-being. The forest’s gentle climate stimulates the autonomic nervous system, helping to lower blood pressure and heart rate, reduce stress, and strengthen the immune system.
Forest bathing is increasingly recognized as a powerful tool for physical and mental health prevention.

With the Power of the Forest – Shinrin Yoku
Forest bathing (Shinrin Yoku) means walking slowly and mindfully through the forest, supported by breathing and awareness exercises, walking meditations, and gratitude practices.
It is all about engaging our senses, cultivating awareness of ourselves and nature, practicing patience, presence, acceptance, and connection.

The starting point of the hike is at the Angertal ski centre at an altitude of 1,200 metres. The alpine altitude provides our bodies with particularly pure air and the sugared coniferous trees release valuable essential oils even in winter. Together we head into the deep snow-covered forest. Small details come to light in the white landscape. The play of the sun, the mosses on tree trunks, exposed rocks and tracks in the snow. During mindfulness exercises, the senses open up. We encourage creativity with a work of nature art. Movement exercises get our spirits going. Walking meditation & spruce needle tea let us finally become one with nature.
