Ice Climbing for beginners

The frozen waterfalls of Gastein are a hotspot among ice sports enthusiasts from all over the world.

Because of the altitude the ice becomes very compact. With 350 meters one of the biggest and most beautiful Austrian ice falls is located in the region. The impressive sport of ice climbing can be learned in a course especially designed for beginners to take their first steps on the ice. Experienced ski- and mountain guides provide the necessary know-how. The Ice-climbing tryout will
take place at Mozart Ice or in Böckstein, depending on the ice conditions.

Equipment:

If available crampon proof mountain boots, otherwise hiking boots or ski touring boots. In no case running shoes!
2 pair of gloves and warm ski clothing.

The equipment like crampons, climbing harness and helmet can be rented for € 30,00.

Duration: 9 am - 3 pm
