Guided hiking-tour: Böckfeldalm - Stubnerkogel mid-station

The starting point for this hike is at the tourist office in Bad Hofgastein.
Time on trail: appx. 2,5 hours, gain: 760 m/loss: 100 m

The sunny Elisabeth Promenade leads to Böckstein – and a steep climb begins. This area of forest is flanked by very special flora, while the virgin mountain forest of spruce, larch and pine casts a cooling shade on hot summer days. Once at the Böckfeldalm you are certain to be fascinated by the extraordinary views of the Schareck, of Anlauftal and proud Bad Gastein. The Böcksteiner Höhenweg leads along steep grassy mountainsides to the Zittrauer Alm and the mid-station of the Stubnerkogelbahn. If you still have plenty of strength left in your legs, you might choose to make your way back to the valley via a beautiful path just below the lift clearing. But for those who would prefer to float back down, the Stubnerkogelbahn promises a comfortable ride.

Transfer: by Bus 550 to Böckstein, descent to the valley station Stubnerkogel, back by bus 550 from the train station

Dress appropriate to the demands of the hike - hiking boots with a good tread are necessary!
