Ski and wine enjoyment week Gastein

From March 11 to 18, 2023, the focus is on enjoyment on the slopes of the Gastein Valley!

Discover the culinary delights of the Gastein farmers at the "Highest farmers' market in the Alps". This is a culinary experience during your winter vacation in Gastein that you will certainly remember for a long time!

Since 2015, the farmers of the Gastein Valley have been bringing their products high up into the mountains on these special days in March. Because at the highest farmers' market in the Alps, regional delicacies are offered directly on the slopes . 28 farmers' market stalls await you with a variety of delicacies - from smoked bacon to various cheese specialties and home-distilled schnapps to sweet jams for breakfast bread. Only what is self-produced or comes directly from the region is sold.

Indulgence is a priority at the Gastein ski huts throughout the season. However, during the skiing and wine enjoyment weeks in Ski amadé, the ski huts add another layer of enjoyment. At all ski huts with the "Genuss-Partner" badge, you can expect a large selection of Austrian wines, which the expert hut staff will serve you with your meal or bring to your deck chair on the sun terrace.

The highlight of this culinary week is the highest farmers' market in the Alps, which takes place from approx. 9.30 - 16.00 at the following Gastein ski huts:

• Herzwies entirely under the motto "Game & Wine, that's fine".

Dish of the week: venison carpaccio with home-smoked venison ham,
Dishes of the day, in keeping with the motto, such as venison stew with napkin dumplings,
home-made products from the market stall: Bacon, hard sausage, jam, juices, jellies, cheese and schnapps.

Home-made products: fresh bread, pickled vegetables, juices, schnapps and liqueurs, oils, honey, tea and ointments, bacon, hard sausage and spreads

• Hirschenhütte:

the kitchen spoils you with regional dishes, game dishes, home-smoked trout and delicious pastries.
