The Böckfeldalm is an ancient, traditional alpine hut above Böckstein/Bad Gastein.
This hike is suitable for everyone. (Start at the Hotel Rader in Altböckstein, 420 meters above sea level) After a leisurely hour's walk you finally reach the top and the fantastic view of the high alpine Schareck in the background of the hut awaits you. Opposite you can see the pompous Radhausberg in which the Gasteiner Heilstollen is located. The view to Böckstein and the Anlauftal with the unique Ankogel in the background is also worthwhile.
The Böckfeldalm has been managed by a young local couple since 2020 and gives it new life. Full of motivation and energy they serve the guests with local products. Their highlight, the farmer's toast made to an old recipe, is a must.
Tip: If you want to continue hiking, you can walk to the Zitrauer Alm, approx. 1.5 hours in the direction of the Stubnerkogel middle station and then take the cable car to Bad Gastein or hike down into the valley. Duration approx. 3 hours.
Open until 13.09.2020
Friday - Sunday always open
Monday - Thursday depending on the weather - you will find information on whether the Böckfeldalm is open or closed on these days on the board next to the entrance (Hotel Rader)
