David Garrett comes with his band to the open-air concert at the Schlossalmbahn valley station in Bad Hofgastein.
On 25 August 2022, you will experience pure passion at this modern interpretation of classical music: Nobody plays the violin like he does. His crossover interpretations straddling classical, rock and pop, promise a musical firework show certain to appeal to all tastes. And Bad Hofgastein couldn’t be a better venue for him, since this town in the middle of the valley – which hosts Klassik:Sommer along with an array of other classical events – definitely has its fingers squarely on the pulse of the times.
This German-American violinist is famous for grand-scale live shows that are nothing less than spectacular. His big fan base can already look forward to a unique concert experience in Bad Hofgastein. His memorable live performances, a mesmerizing hybrid of classical and rock, are legendary. Whether “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC, the Metallica anthem “Nothing Else Matters” or “November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses, he has written his own arrangement for practically every rock classic. His stage appearances are taken to an even higher level thanks to an imposing light & video show.

In April 2017, Garrett was the recipient of the Frankfurt Music Prize. By 2014, he had produced 15 studio albums, of which four had earned a gold record in Germany.
