Free tour camp with Matthias Haunholder

Freeride-Star Matthias Haunholder tours for three intensive days with a small homogenous group at the FreeTouring Camp.

Freeride-Star Matthias Haunholder and our state certified mountain- and ski guides will go on tour with a a small homogenous group of participants and teach the basics of avalanche awareness and give tips on tour planning and route selection.

Requirements

• The camps do not replace a ski course! Requirements for all camps is a basic skiing technique in the field!
• Basic condition:
  Beginners - 500 meters in altitude
  Advanced participants - one to three hour ascent with up to 700 meters in altitude  

Agenda

• Downhill- and ascent technique in the terrain
• Basics of snow and avalanche awareness, interpreting hazard patterns and danger spots according to the avalanche situation report, reasonable tour planning
• Terrain evaluation, behaviour, track system in ascent and descent, observations in the terrain (alarm signal, hazard patterns and danger spots, subjective factores)
• Risk check and decision in individual cases, selection of suitable measures, strict action

Thursday

until 6 pm arrival and check-in at your destination
6.30 pm dinner
8 pm - 9 pm Welcome and lecture on the topic of safety on tour
followed by information about the schedule for the next days, get together

Friday

9 am tours and practical training
6.30 pm dinner
8 pm film evening with Matthias Haunholder

Saturday

9 am tour and practical training
6.30 pm dinner
afterwards cozy evening

9 am tour and practical training
4 pm check out

Services

Price:
€ 370,- per person

Not included in the price:

• rental equipment (LVS, shovel, sensor) for an additional charge
• touring skis, boots skins and poles from ATOMIC
• Accommodation with meals, lift tickets, transfer costs if necessary
