Close to Heaven: Outdoor Yoga in Gastein

Around 40 yoga teachers from Austria and Germany lead some 300 yoga sessions over the course of barely two weeks. And not only in yoga rooms - in Gastein, nature becomes one gigantic yoga studio. Yoga on a platform by the waterfall, next to Mirror Lake on the Fulseck, or on the summit of the Stubnerkogel with glorious views of the 3,000ers of Hohe Tauern National Park. Here, where you are closer to the sun than perhaps anywhere else, "greeting the sun" takes on a whole new meaning.

In Gastein, yoga is also on the program in autumn. In this case, the core element, yoga, is complemented by themes from the fields of dance, song, cooking and nutrition as well as nature and spirituality.
