The North - The Race

Topics: Winter | Alpine skiing

Information about the Event:

One of the longest downhill runs in the Eastern Alps - a real challenge for the winter sports enthusiast.

The spectacular race on the north run of the Schlossalm in Gastein. The route from the Hohe Scharte to the valley station of the Schlossalm lift is considered one of the longest downhill runs in the Eastern Alps and is a highlight for ambitious skiers and snowboarders. 1440 meters of altitude have to be climbed in the "wild race" in Super-G style. It takes enormous strength and endurance in the thighs to be cheered by the fans at the finish line at Weitmoserin after about 6 minutes.

The North - conquer or cheer

Where last year only skiers tried their hand, this year all snowboarders are also called upon to prove their skills. The requirements to take part in the race are simple: anyone over the age of 18 who has two skis or a snowboard and whose thighs are happy to take a big beating is welcome!

Further information will follow.
