Tis wonderful hike leads past to some of the most imposing strength places Dorfgasteins.
Walking time: 6 hours
The hike up to the Amoser Alm (staffed) is punctuated by numerous gates and different paths, readily distracting you from the actual climb itself. One hut is followed by another – the Stoffalm is a jewel particular worthy of note. Its traditional wood construction and a rustic water trough in front are an immediate source of fascination – pure alpine romance. A magical tree as well as the sight of the quarry add to the picturesque scenery. The trail continues through a dense mixed forest to the Huberalm. Already sensed, but not yet visible – a historic, forested pass with a chapel. The so-called Drei Waller Kapelle (“Chapel of the 3 Pilgrims”) stands alongside the pass at 1,425 m above sea level, an ancient pilgrimage site.
The participation in the controlled wanderings is free with the Gastein Card! Coach and taxi transfer costs and Konsumation are specially to be paid. Good equipment and mountain shoes and travelling shoes are absolutely necessary!
