Day of gold in Sportgastein

In high-altitude Sportgastein, everything revolves around Tauern gold.

Experience the history of the Tauern gold from Gastein up close. During guided themed hikes, there is historical gold panning to take part in and the show power plant displays impressive models from the Goldberg era.

From 9 am the Goldberg cable car takes visitors up the mountain. The Kreuzkogel summit cross is easily reached from the top station, after a short ascent, and offers a special view at 2,686 m above sea level.

The huts in Sportgastein offer traditional delicacies from the region.
