The Philharmonic Orchestra Salzburg was founded by their conductor Elisabeth Fuchs in 1998. Since then they have played their way into the hearts of their listeners. This orchestra has most certainly brought to life the saying “Music touches the emotions” by playing extraordinary innovative programmes, as well as, the musicians infectious joy shown as they perform. Elisabeth Fuchs has constantly been able to create a fresh inspiring classical music programme. by inviting top soloists such as Nikolai Tokarev, Olga Scheps and Benjamin Schmid to perform with them. Whilst not ignoring the more modern styles, the Philharmonic Salzburg loves nothing more than to groove alongside ECHO award winners such as Quadro Nuevo, the Klazz Brothers and the David Orlowsky Trio. Thus their exciting repertoire has a broad range of styles, without comprising the classical and romantic pieces, and playing the more modern music of Igor Stravinsky, Benjamin Britten and John Adams. This innovative orchestra has impressed their audiences with crossover projects such as “Best of Hollywood”, “Broadway meets Hip-Hop” and “Soul meets Classical”. Their brand-new concert series is called “Symphonic Talk”, which includes guests such as actor/director Charly Rabanser, the Vienna Swing Sisters and Dancer Jasmin Rituper.
