The Biberalm affords unique views of Gastein valley. From the Bad Hofgastein train station, the path leads to the Brandebengut (parking available). From there, we hike past the Hubertuskapelle via a lovingly constructed uphill trail through the woods, with places of natural power and viewing points, to the Biberalm. Above the tree line of the Gadaunerer plateau, surrounded by meadows and rhododendrons, is the Feldinghütte. Reachable from the Argental parking lot to Waldgasthof Angertal via the Gadauner forest road in ca. 2 1/2 hrs., or you can choose to take the “Wolfstall”, a short steep climb (1 3/4 hrs.). Another hiking path leads 100 m past Gasthof Lackenbauer, right via the Lafenmahder, and to the Feldinghütte (time ca. 2 hrs.)
