One million litres of water gushes out of 18 springs filling the different pools, and baths of the Spa, offering areas of tranquillity and retreat, there is also a large activity area such as the new, 600 m² Adventure Spa, with two pools spilt over two levels, geysers and a wild water channel as well as a 70m metre long slide, ideal for young visitors. The new Rock Grotto will impress you with its unique flair.
Thermal time can be spent in Gastein throughout the whole year. After an exhausting day on the ski slopes, or after an adventurous tour to the high pastures, relax and enjoy yourself in the 34 degree hot relaxation pool, situated in the outdoor area of the Felsentherme, it does not matter if the air temperature is -10°C or +25°C. Little water-babes will find in the newly built Children’s Fairy Tale pool, with its interactive fairytale figures, their ideal El Dorado. For those who like it hot, the 600 m² large Panorama Wellness Area is the main attraction of the Spa; here you will find true paradise. Seven different saunas, a world of sun and a juice bar will not leave any one cold. For that “summit meeting” why not meet at an altitude of 1,000 metres – on the roof of the Wellness Complex, where the nudist area offers a natural relaxing atmosphere. A Fitness Area with modern sport facilities such as Cross Trainers, Treadmills and Ergonomic Power Training Equipment is also available.
As Europe’s most modern Alpine and Leisure World the Alpen Therme in Bad Hofgastein knows – it is also another young gem of Gastein’s Wellness treasures. Six Adventure and Health Worlds covering a total of 14,000 m², offering wellness pleasure in a new dimension, in which designers have created a “Thermal Spa of Senses”, situated under one roof, and offering a multifunctional programme for all age groups. Swimming under the cupola of the 360° multi-media dome just cannot be compared with the sterile atmosphere of old indoor swimming pools of the past. The Sauna World offers a Mecca of relaxation with its many different types of saunas, right in the heart of the “Health and Cure Park”, beneath 3 glass dome roofs.
Relaxation, health, regeneration, adventure - these areas go hand in hand with each other. The Thermal Spas in Gastein have been created so that they cover every need. You will find here in the Relax World an oasis of relaxation, supplying you with new energy. Almost 10 meter high panorama glass windows show a fantastic backdrop of the alpine world, and this fits in harmoniously with the surrounding nature. The pool filled with water from the “original spa”, is equipped with massage and water beds; recover harmoniously while using the geysers and fountains in all the pools.
Families with children have completely different wishes. Adventure and fun are very important in the Family World. The 110 metre long “Black Hole” rafting slide is one of the attractions, as well as the Multi Media Adventure Dome that transforms into exotic worlds, thanks to its high technology video system. In summer the Alpen Solarbad in Dorfgastein, offers families especially with small children great bathing fun.
This also enables Dad to have a fantastic time alone with his children. Then “Mum” has time to herself to be spoilt completely in the Ladies World of the Alpen Therme Gastein, this being a perfect oasis for beauty. Saunarium, Solariums, Beauty and Cosmetic Sections cover a very wide spectrum. The new sports medical centre – the Sports World, gives both hobby sportsmen as well as endurance athletes a very modern choice; either with endurance diagnosis or just individual training supervision. This ranges from personal trainers up to using highly technical fitness apparatus, from health checks to an anti aging programme, from nutritional consulting to medicine from the Far East.
